The governing body for the industry certificate Health Trainer specializing in Fitness and Health Training is formed by the OdA Movement and Health (OdA BuG) and its members SVBO, BGB and SFGV.

Requirements for the certificate
With the completion of Fitness and Movement Trainer Basic and Fitness and Movement Trainer Advanced, 2500 h of professional practice and the successful completion of the 4 basic module exams (1, 2, 3, 5) and the main module exam 3, you obtain the diploma Health Trainer with SVBO Industry Certificate (specialization Fitness and Health Training). The 4 basic module exams are written and last approx. 60 minutes. The exam for main module 3 is oral and lasts approx. 45 minutes
Requirements for obtaining the industry certificate
- Prove professional experience of at least 2500 hours.
- Hold a valid BLS AED certificate (included in the Fitness and Movement Trainer Basic).
- Pass a practical exam according to SVBO standards (included in the Fitness and Movement Trainer Advanced).
- The completion of the following module exams of the training to become a Specialist in Movement and Health Promotion with federal diploma:
Basic module 1: Anatomy and physiology
Basic module 2: Training theory
Basic module 3: Methodology, didactics, learning psychology
Basic module 5: Advanced machine-based and machine-independent movement competence
Main module 3: Health promotion and lifestyle intervention.

To participate you must be 16 years old and sufficiently fit for sport to be able to demonstrate the training exercises. You should be open and communicative. You need good spoken and written German skills to understand the content and to be able to reproduce your thoughts in the exam.
